UFO Buster Radio News – 405: Pentagon Disinformation, DeLonge UFO Post, and 100 Million-Year-old Microbes Revived
Pentagon’s UFO announcement is ‘exciting,’ raises ‘controversies’: expert
There are discrepancies with the Pentagon’s announcement
“I support this initiative, which rightly frames the issue in terms of security,” Nick Pope, a former employee and UFO investigator for Britain’s Ministry of Defense, said in an email to Fox News. “While there’ll be debate about exactly what this entails — mention of unauthorized aircraft making incursions into training ranges sounds relatively mundane — UAP [unidentified aerial phenomena] is the official term for what the media and the public refer to as UFOs, so there’s no doubt in my mind about the true nature of the mission.”
Though excited about the public confirmation, Pope pointed out one major discrepancy with the Pentagon’s announcement. “The Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 referred to the task force as already being in operation,” Pope, who worked for the MoD from 1991 to 1994, added.
On Friday, the DoD said it hopes to “improve its understanding of, and gain insight into, the nature and origins of UAPs. The mission of the task force is to detect, analyze and catalog UAPs that could potentially pose a threat to U.S. national security.”
In June, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, acting chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, instructed the director of national intelligence, the secretary of defense and other agency heads to compile data on “unidentified aerial phenomenon.”
“The Committee remains concerned that there is no unified, comprehensive process within the federal government for collecting and analyzing intelligence on unidentified aerial phenomena, despite the potential threat,” lawmakers wrote in a report.
“The Committee understands that the relevant intelligence may be sensitive; nevertheless, the Committee finds that the information sharing and coordination across the Intelligence Community has been inconsistent, and this issue has lacked attention from senior leaders,” they added.
UFO sighting: Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 shares cryptic message sparking a UFO frenzy
The former Blink-182 and current Angles & Airwaves frontman shared to his Instagram page a photo of what appears to be a flying saucer UFO. The musician added more fuel to the mystery, captioning the image: “Doesn’t look ‘supernatural’ to me.” Mr DeLonge firmly believes in extraterrestrial phenomena and spends his time outside of music discolsing what he believes is the truth about aliens.
His Instagram post has now caused a storm online, with sceptics and conspiracy theorists alike rallying in the comment section. One follower said: “Tom, why post a picture that looks as interesting as this, only to undermine it with a vague comment.
“So frustrating. At least say something about the image itself.” Another person said: “Wild to think people thought you were crazy for talking about this all these years.”
The photo posted by Mr DeLonge appears to be a screengrab from a video shared two years ago by the account ufolovers.
In the video, the flying saucer-like UFO drops a smaller, round object from its underside.
According to self-appointed UFO expert Scott C Waring, the mystery object could very well be the real deal.
He said: “The photo of a UFO disk viewed from its side with an orb below it had just a few words that didn’t explain much… ‘Doesn’t look supernatural to me.’
“Sadly he has no possible explanation nor any clue as to this UFO sighting being real or not.
“His cryptic message to his Instagram users hints that he is looking for something more unique in sightings… and seems disappointed that its a mere classic disk design UFO even though it’s releasing an orb.”
In Mr Waring’s opinion, the orb seen below the UFO is the pilot wanting to get a closer look at the ground without being spotted.
100 MILLION year old microbes brought back to life – & discovery could help us find aliens
MICROBES buried beneath the sea floor for more than 100 million years have been brought back to life in a study with profound implications for the search of alien life, researchers have revealed.
Researchers descended to some of the deepest depths of the ocean, dug 250ft (80m) down into the dirt and collected a primordial community of microbes.
Steve D’Hondt, a University of Rhode Island oceanographer and co-author of the study, revealed after the microbes were returned to the laboratory and fed, they started to multiply.
He told Express.co.uk: “We offered them a buffet and they woke up and they partied.”
Professor D’Hondt revealed the microbes had been isolated under starving conditions for 100 million years.
He said: “Dr Yuki Morono [geomicrobiologist at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology and lead author of the new paper] has shown when he offers them a diverse range of food and brings them back to the world, then within weeks they begin growing and dividing and exhibiting a whole range of metabolic behaviour.
“So they essentially come from a prison of 100 million years where they’ve not had enough to eat and they’re now back in the world and behaving like normal microbes.”
“Once we’ve seen them in hundred million year old sediment with almost no food in it, it seems likely microbes are pretty much present in all the sediments of the world ocean, so they may very well be everywhere.
“A farther reach is if microbes can survive 100 million years in starving isolation on Earth, maybe they can survive a billion years or two billion years on Mars, or Europa or other planets.
“Now human beings have discovered abundant planets circling other stars and the telescopic capabilities that have been developed.
“I think it’s only a matter of time before we find evidence of life somewhere in the atmospheres from other planets circling other stars.”
